Website to check out

I just checked out engrade. http://www.engrade.com. It is a great site where teachers can keep track of grades for students, show instant progress reports, post assignments and both parents and students have access to this at all times. Currently, at Boys Town, we are using PowerSchool to keep track of students' grades. It is very helpful because we can immediately pull up each students' account and see current grades, missing assignments, upcoming assignments and tests, etc. If your school does not have a program already in place, like this, I highly recommend checking out engrade. It's a huge time saver and so much more efficient than a paper grade book.

  1. My school also uses PowerSchool. I enjoy using it. With enngrade, I'm not sure that I would like having my students grades at a public web site. Not having the school own the system makes me feel like it is less secure.

  2. Suzanne, I completely agree with you. I hadn't thought of the fact that this would be publically available. I will look again and see if there are safety features that allow only assigned users to access private information. PowerSchool is great, though, and very secure.
